I really like the sketch at Creative Scrappers this month. I used these pictures from the playground last summer.

Here is the sketch:

I used the ornate frame cut file from the Silhouette Store. The word 'just' is from the Silhouette Store from a title called 'just beat it'. The 'hangin out' title is from the Paper Issues Store. I'm joining the Product Spotlight at Paper Issues where you show off your summer layouts.

Friends Layout

I tried some paint with plastic packaging and splatters for this one.

 

I used clear gesso but didn't cover the whole page so maybe that is why it is bending a bit.

Hulk Layout

Another Lego Store layout using Oh My Heart. This one came together really easily and was actually the negative cut of a different layout I was working on.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the diamond and then lined it with patterned paper. The rest was playing with embellishments.

The Good Life Layout

I've got a pile of Oh My Heart layouts on the go. They seem to match my Lego Store pictures so I might actually have some continuous matching pages in my album.

For this one I cut these squares in half to make triangles and then played with a hundred different patterns until I ended with this one. I machine sewed the triangles. I had a hard time adding more embellishments so I just left it like this.

Traveler's Notebook for P.H.P.

My task today was to use a Paper House Productions Craft Set. I chose the Travel Set to make a traveler's notebook. I used an old notebook and recovered it with a sticker sheet in the set.

I began with this notebook.



I removed the coils and wrapped the cover in the sticky map. I added embellishments from the kit and a title using the alphas. Pretty easy and I love how it looks. Now I just need to find a vacation!

Pinkalicious Layout

I dove into the Oh My Heart collection and it didn't disappoint! I love how this layout came together.

I stitched down the side to make it look like a book cover. I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the title. I used paint for the pink but kinda wish I had used pink cardstock. I cut a variety of circles using the Friskars circle stencil.

Light It Up Layout

I'm loving all the layouts with the current sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. I joined in using some of my latest haul from Paper Issues. My daughter wears a lot of purple and there are not a lot of collections that match so it is nice to have the Summer Lights collection. I have a pile of purple pictures ready to scrap!

I had to make a mirror image of the sketch because I wanted my daughter looking across the page. I followed the sketch pretty darn close!

Santa Monica Layout

I was inspired by the sketch at My Creative Scrapbook and chose to scrap some pictures of our visit to California.

Here is the sketch:



I chose a font and cut the word Monica with my Silhouette Cameo. I misted the background and stitched the sun and adhered it after so it added more dimension. I used a punch for the banner. The sun is a free cut file from Paper Issues and I'm going to put this layout in the Product Spotlight.

Pandy Layout

So what do you do to keep busy at the lake? String art! It drove other people crazy that I was always reading or sewing but I worked hard so I could enjoy my vacation time. When I got home I added the picture and embellishments.

I actually used the table cloth with stripes to draw the lines. Then I punched holes with my needle and sewed randomly. I was very pleased to find the perfect picture when I got home and some panda stickers!

Sorry Layout

The cousins love to play Sorry! at my parent's place. It is a good lesson in patience and winning/losing! More older papers trying to clean-out the stash.

I handmade the letters and used my Pen Blade to cut them out. I literally went through my entire stash trying to find game related embellishments and had to settle for what I could find and some word bubbles.

Friendship Cards for P.H.P. and My Sentiments Exactly

Hello! Today the Paper House Productions team has tried out some stamps from My Sentiments Exactly. I received the friendship stamp set. I decided to make two cards using the Be Happy Paper Pad.

I folded 8.5" x 11" white cardstock in half and adhered a background paper. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the flowers. I used some black ribbon and stickers that came with the paper pad. To finish it off I used a stamp with white ink. On the inside of the card, stamped another sentiment.

For the second card, I repeated the first step and then adhered a cut apart card from the paper pad. I fussy cut some flowers from another copy of the cut apart card to balance the card. Then I used a stamp with black ink for the sentiment. The photo corners are from a previous swap with Scrapbook Adhesives.

Cake Layout for S.I.T.

I'm up on the Sketches In Thyme blog today with this colourful birthday layout. I was so lucky to win the new Jillibean Soup Souper Celebration collection from Page Maps so I had to dig in right away. This sketch was perfect for a fun, bright layout. Yes, I did try to decorate my husband's cake with his favorite hockey team logo. The effort was appreciated!
